Harrison Ford Isn't Interested in Reflecting on His Old Movies - "I Just Want To Get Through The F**king Day"
If you ever find yourself in a conversation with Harrison Ford, make sure to steer clear of topics involving his older movies, because he’s not interested in talking about them.
During a recent interview with Games Radar, the actor was asked about Raiders of the Lost Ark, and in response to that question, he said:
"I never think that way. That’s the kind of thing you guys think! I just want to get through the f**king day with some degree of self-respect left. And that usually occurs when there’s a connection with a very strong filmmaker."
It seems like Ford just doesn’t like talking with regular people in general about anything. He previously talked about how he hates people asking him stupid questions regarding his fan-favorite characters Han Solo and Indiana Jones. Ford went on to say:
"And I have had the very good fortune of working with the old school. And the new school. I went to kindergarten, I went to preschool with film giants. And then the world has changed, and there’s a new stripe of genius.
“And I mean, my good fortune is that...the story of my career is about how much there is to learn, and how many great teachers are out there. And how the experience changes you every time. And I’m sure you have this as a director. It’s why we do it, to reinvent ourselves, to re-organize our ambitions."
At 80 years old, I get that time is precious for Ford and he wants to spend his time talking about meaningful things and working with people that help take his life and career to new and interesting places. Ford has also kind of come off as being grumpy, though. Regardless, that guy has had quite an incredible life and career.
