Hasbro has revealed its line of Ghostbusters Plasma action figures, which is based on the characters that will be appearing in the upcoming film Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The first batch of figures that are coming feature three original Ghostbusters all suited up and ready for action, along with the new younger generation that will be introduced in the film.

New characters in the Ghostbusters: Afterlife action figure line include Lucky (Celeste O'Connor), Trevor (Finn Wolfhard), Podcast (Logan Kim) and Phoebe (Mckenna Grace). We also get figures featuring Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Raymond Stantz (Dan Akyroyd), and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) and as you can see, they are looking a lot older. All of the figures also come with some fun accessories, which you’ll see in the photos below.

There’s also a Sentinel Terror Dog action figure, which can be assembled for those who collect all six figures in the line.

A new trailer was released for the film yesterday and I can’t wait to see it! I hate that we have to wait until November to watch the movie, but at least we know it’s coming and it looks so good!

In the film, Egon Spengler’s family moves to a small town where they learn about their grandfather’s legacy and that he used to catch ghosts for a living. I love the story of a couple of kids slowly discovering something incredible about their grandpa and his legacy.

The synopsis for the next chapter in the Ghostbusters universe reads, “A single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.”

The story also ties into Ivo Shandor and the Cult of Gozer! You can read more about that here, but the return of Gozer is definitely teased in the most recent trailer.

The film was directed by Jason Reitman from a script he wrote with Gil Kenan. Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be released theaters everywhere starting November 11th, 2021.
