Hugh Jackman Teases DEADPOOL 3 and Wolverine's Hateful Relationship with Deadpool
Hugh Jackman is talking about Deadpool 3 again teasing some details regarding Wolverine’s relationship with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. During a recent interview The Empire Film Podcast, Jackman was asked about the status of the relationship between the two superheroes, and Jackman explained that they hate each other:
“How do I categorize it? Ten being really close, zero being the reality, we’re zero, we’re opposites, hate each other. I’m just talking from my perspective, [Logan’s] frustrated by him, wants to be a million miles away from him or wants to punch him in the head. Unfortunately, he can’t be a million miles away from him in this movie, so I’m probably going to punch him in the head a lot.”
The fans are definitely going to show up to watch that! Jackman previously described the film as a 48 Hours-style adventure with the two characters and Reynolds previously shared that it “was gonna be a road trip between Deadpool and Logan. Rashomon style. For real.”
Director Shawn Levy recently discussed the film’s R-rated content teasing how violent and foul it will be, saying:
"We are writing, rewriting, developing, prepping 'Deadpool' every day now. It is such a blast to laugh every day. It is so delicious to hear and write and come up with these scenes where people are just talking foul. And the violence is in your face and hardcore, and it's very much a 'Deadpool' movie."
Jackman also talked about how they were able to bring back Wolverine, and integrate him into the MCU, assuring fans that Deadpool 3 wouldn’t mess with the Logan timeline:
“All because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines, now we can go back because, you know, it’s science, so I don’t have to screw with the Logan timeline, which was important to me. And I think probably to the fans too.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled to be released on November 8, 2024.
