Insane New Trailer for Marvel's ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA!
Marvel Studios has released a second thrilling and absolutely crazy trailer for its highly-anticipated action-adventure film Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania! A lot of the recent Marvel projectshave been pretty polarizing, but a lot of Marvel fans seem pretty excited about this next Ant-Man movie, and it looks like it actually delivers something epic!
This new trailer is packed with new footage that offers more insight into the story and Kang’s motivation for trying to enlist Ant-Man for help. I’ve enjoyed the Ant-Man films, and I think this one is going to deliver the goods. This trailer seemingly gives away a lot of the story, but I think Marvel has some tricks up their sleeves.
When talking about Kang, director Peyton Reed explained that the villain is trapped in the Quantum Realm and he wanted Ant-Man to help him escape. He went on to discuss the profound impact that Kang will have on the MCU: "I think it has a profound impact on the MCU. Jeff Loveness, who wrote [Quantumania], is writing The Kang Dynasty as well, so there's been a lot of discussion about the impact that this appearance of Kang the Conqueror makes. There are big things in store."
As for Kang the Conqueror, this version of the character is "very different" from He Who Remains fromLoki. Reed offered a description of this character, saying: "He's someone who has dominion over time, and he's a warrior and a strategist.”
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania officially kicks off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and in it “Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.”
Jonathan Majors will be taking on the role of Kang, and he’s going to be quite sinister. Kathryn Newton also will take on the role of Cassie Lang, and Bill Murray also has a role in the movie!
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is once again being directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay written by Jeff Loveness. The action-comedy superhero sequel will release on February 17, 2023.
