It Looks Like Robert Rodriguez Directed at Least One Episode of THE MANDALORIAN Season 2
A few weeks ago a rumor hit that James Mangold (Logan, Ford v Ferarri) and Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Alita: Battle Angel) visited the set of The Mandalorian and even directed sequences for the second season. Well, it looks like Rodriguez has directed more than just a sequence!
According to HNEntertainment, Rodriguez directed at least one episode of the highly-anticipated upcoming season! If this is true, it great! I’ve been a fan of a lot of Rodriguez’s film work and I loved what he did most recently with Alita: Battle Angel, so seeing him get the opportunity to play in the Star Wars universe is pretty cool!
Rodriguez was a guest on Jon Favreau’s The Chef Show and I remember asking myself while watching it, “I wonder is Favreau will bring Rodriguez on to direct an episode of The Mandalorian?” It looks like he may have actually done that! it’ll be fun to see what he does with the show!
Jon Favreau confirmed he would direct at least one episode of Season 2. It was also previously reported that Carl Weathers would direct an episode, and it’s been said that Bryce Dallas Howard returned as well.
Also, just a reminder that Rosario Dawson was recently cast in the live-action role of Ahsoka Tano, which fans have been flipping out over. She’s going to be awesome in the role. I’m pumped up that this character is going to finally make her live-action debut!
Like all of you, I’m looking forward to seeing Mando and the Child continue their epic journey! We don’t know much about the story, be we do know that Mando is taking the Child to the Jedi and that Gideon will continue hunting them down.
