Rosario Dawson Will Play Ahsoka Tano in THE MANDALORIAN Season 2!
Some awesome Star Wars news has just hit! /Film is reporting that Rosario Dawson is playing fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano! A lot of fans hoped to see a live-action version of this character appear in The Mandalorian, and fans have also thought that Dawson is the perfect actress to play her. So, it’s pretty damn rad that this is actually happening!
Ahsoka Tano was Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi padawan apprentice who was introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and also appeared in Star Wars: Rebels. I’m super excited to see Dawson’s take on the character and also see how her story arc will be handled in the upcoming season of The Mandalorian.
It was previously reported that Mando will encounter some characters from the Skywalker saga, so I think a lot of fans expected this. I think Dawson is going to be awesome in the role!
Jon Favreau confirmed he would direct at least one episode of Season 2. It was also previously reported that Carl Weathers would direct an episode, and it’s been said that Bryce Dallas Howard returned as well, with James Mangold and Robert Rodriguez reportedly coming in to help direct sequences.
Like all of you, I’m looking forward to seeing Mando and the Child continue their epic journey! We don’t know much about the story, be we do know that Mando is taking the Child to the Jedi and that Gideon will continue hunting them down.
