Jackie Chan Says He Has Agreed To Do RUSH HOUR 4
It's been ten years since we last saw Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker kicking ass together as Lee and Carter in Rush Hour 3 and now it looks like Rush Hour 4 is prepping up for development. According to Jackie Chan, he has agreed to do it.
During a recent radio interview on L.A.'s Power 106 (via Deadline), Chan said:
“For the last seven years, we’ve been turning down the script, turning down the script. Yesterday, we just agreed.”
All three films were directed by Brett Ratner, but there's no word on if he'll be back for the fourth one. I assume that if it happens, he will direct it. I'm not the biggest fan of Ratner's work, but the Rush Hour franchise is probably his best work. He is set to direct the Hugh Hefner biopic with Jared Leto next. Chan went on to say that Chris Tucker has yet to agree:
“The script probably at the end of this month will have a second draft, and next year, probably [we will] start. I hope — if Chris Tucker agrees.”
Jackie Chan has got a couple great looking new films coming out like The Foreigner and Bleeding Steel. I like that he's making these hardcore gritty action films. I'm not sure I want to see him go back to making Rush Hour movies. But who knows, maybe it will be fun.
Do you want to see Chan and Tucker reunite for Rush Hour 4?
