James Gunn Confirms Some Guardians Actors Will Appear in SUPERMAN: LEGACY

James Gunn has turned in his first draft of Superman: Legacy and pre-production is currently underway. The filmmaker has also started the casting process, and I’ve heard that he’s actually found his Superman, I’m just not sure when he will announce it.

There are a lot of other roles that Gunn will need to cast in the movie, though, and it looks like some of them will be played by some of the cast members of Guardians of the Galaxy! I guess that shouldn’t come as a surprise, but fans will appreciate the confirmation from Gunn.

When a fan reached out to Gunn on Twitter to ask if any members of the Guardians cast would be in the movie, Gunn simply replied, “yes.”

Now, we have no idea who from the cast he will use or what roles they will play, but it will be fun to see! Who would you like to see in Superman: Legacy? Are there any characters that you’ll like to see any of the Guardians cast members to play?

The new movie will introduce a new version of Superman and it will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”

Superman: Legacy will launch the movie part of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1, and that will be followed by The Brave and the Bold, Supergirl, Swamp Thing, and more.

Pre-production on the movie kicked off last month, with costumes, production design “and more” now “up and running.”
