Joel and Ethan Coen Are Reuniting For a "Pure Horror" Film That Will Be "Very Bloody"
Joel and Ethan Coen are going to reunite for a horror film project and it sounds like it’s going to be crazy. I’ve always wondered how the Coen brothers would handle a horror movie, and it looks like we’re going to find out!
The filmmakers are behind films such as No Country for Old Men, Fargo, Inside Llewyn Davis, and The Big Lebowski. They haven’t collaborated on a film project together for years as they’ve both been developing their solo film projects, but it’s exciting to see that they are getting back together for a horror movie!
In 2021 Joel released The Tragedy of Macbeth starring Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand, and Ethan just made a road trip crime comedy titled Drive-Away Dolls.
Ethan recently shared that he's written a new script with Joel and that the duo plans on teaming up for it. He talked about the project, saying: "It's a pure horror film, and it gets very bloody. If you like Blood Simple, I think you'll enjoy it."
Ethan recently made Drive-Away Dolls and co-writer (and Ethan's wife) Tricia Cooke also revealed that the screenplay for this new horror movie is "horribly funny."
I can’t wait to see what this horror movie from the Coen brothers ends up being!
