Jon Favreau's THE MANDALORIAN & GROGU Movie Reportedly Set To Start Shooting This Summer!
Jon Favreau is currently in the process of a Star Wars movie that he will direct titled The Mandalorian & Grogu. This was a surprise announcement that a lot of fans seemed really excited about and it looks like the movie is going to start shooting this summer, which is a lot sooner than fans might have expected.
This latest update comes from ProductionList, which says that the movie will start shooting on June 17th. Lucasfilm has not officially confirmed this. This film is said to be a reworked version of The Mandalorian Season 4, so it makes sense that the project would be ready to start shooting soon. If they were shooting a new season, it would be going into development around the same time.
The Mandalorian & Grogu will most likely be the first Star Wars movie that is made and released since Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
We don’t have any story details to share, but the movie will pick up in the aftermath of The Mandalorian Season 3. The Mandalorian & Grogu might also be the start of a trilogy that will also include Dave Filoni's untitled movie that will bring this whole New Republic saga together.
Favreau previously shared a statement with the film’s announcement, saying: “I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
It’ll be so cool to watch the story of The Mandalorian continue to play out on the big screen!
