Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen to Star in Aziz Ansari's Movie GOOD FORTUNE
Here’s an interesting bit of casting news! Keanu Reeves (John Wick) and Seth Rogen (The Green Hornet) are set to star in the upcoming film Good Futune, which will mark the directorial debut of Aziz Ansari. The comedian will also write and star in the film, which is set up at Lionsgate.
There are no details on the story, but I never thought I’d see Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves star in a movie together! It should be interesting.
Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chair Joe Drake said in a statement: “We have indeed found good fortune with this film. We love the script and believe strongly in Aziz as both a performer and a director. And when you add in Seth and Keanu – two incredible world-class talents — toplining alongside Aziz, this has the potential to be a very special film for us. We moved quickly to land this project once it was available.”
About a year ago, Ansari was supposed to direct a film called Being Mortal with Bill Murray and Seth Rogen, but that project ended up being shut down after a complaint was made against Murray. It must’ve sucked for Ansari to have that project shut down, but it’s good to see that he’s got another one up and running and that he’s got a great cast attached to it!
