Kevin Feige Talks About The X-Men and Their Introduction To The MCU "Perhaps Soon"
There’s been a lot of talk about the X-Men recently because of the things that have been teased in the trailers for The Marvels. A lot of fans think that at least one of the X-Men is going to show up in the film. Now, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is talking about the X-Men and teases that fans may not have to wait too long to see their MCU introduction.
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Feige was asked if there was anything he could say about introducing the X-Men into the MCU and this was his response:
“It’s super exciting. The X-Men are as solid and rich and great a concept in characters that exist. [We’re doing] the return of the animated series next year, which we’re very excited about. I saw some new, final episodes today, which really bring you back to that core of who the X-Men are and that soap opera that those characters represent. In live-action, people will see. Perhaps soon.”
So, fans can expect to see the introduction of the X-Men soon in the MCU. I guess the big question is… will it be in The Marvels? Or will it be another Marvel movie project in development like Deadpool 3? Fans will find out soon!
It’s going to be really interesting to see how exactly Marvel does end up introducing the X-Men in the MCU and what the long-term plan is for them. As you know, Kamala Khan was revealed to be a mutant at the end of the Ms. Marvel miniseries. Then there’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which saw Patrick Stewart briefly reprise his role as Charles Xavier/Professor X.
What would you like to see Marvel Studios do with the X-Men in the MCU? How would you like to see the world of mutants introduced?
