Legendary's Next GODZILLA Movie Hires Director Grant Sputore
A few weeks ago. Legendary Entertainment revealed that they are developing a new Godzilla movie for its Monsterverse, and they brought on Dave Callaham (Shang-Chi) to write the script.
It’s now been announced that they’ve hired I Am Mother filmmaker Grant Sputore to direct the next installment of the franchise. This news comes after Adam Wingard stepped away from the franchise after helming Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
I Am Mother was a decent movie, so maybe Sputore will be able to breathe new life into the franchise and actually make a good American Godzilla movie. Only time will tell.
Sputore is a commercial director who has been recognized at every major advertising award show around the world.
There are no plot details to share but you can bet we’ll see Godzilla facing off with other massive kaiju monsters. Maybe Sputore will actually be able to tell a proper story for the creature and the human characters.
