Marvel Shows off Trailer For The IRONHEART Disney+ Series at D23

Marvel Studios showed up at D23 to show off a bunch of stuff from their upcoming projects and one of the things they shared was some footage from the upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart.

Producer Ryan Coogler showed up to introduce the footage and the film’s stars Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Regan Aliyah and Alden Ehrenreich offered some insight on the series.

The footage has leaked online, so if you want, you can watch a low-quality version of it below. I’m still not sure about this series, I'll just say it would be nice if it exceeds my expectations.

Marvel Television’s Ironheart “pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago.

“Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Ramos).

The series also stars Lyric Ross, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam and Anji White. Chinaka Hodge is head writer and EP; episodes are directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes.

The six-episode series was created by Chinaka Hodge, and the story follows Riri Williams, a young engineering genius and the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. The series will be set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

It was previously said that the theme of Ironheart will be “Magic vs Tech.” Producer Nate Moore has said that he views the Ironheart series as a direct sequel to Wakanda Forever.

He said: "That show is an outgrowth of how much we liked her in this movie and even on the page. So, when we talked with [Dominique Throne] initially, obviously the character had been written to the script and she was the one and only person we talked about for the role. When she said yes and we were down the road with the script, we also started talking with [Ryan Coogler] about what the show could be.

"So, the show is a direct sequel to the movie. And [Riri Williams] is carrying the experiences she had in this movie back home to MIT. And there are some interesting repercussions to her adventures that will set her on a fun course."

Ironheart will be released sometime in 2025.
