Marvel's DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Series Brings on THE PUNISHER Writer as Showrunner and LOKI Directors

Marvel Studios has hired a showrunner and new directors for its Daredevil: Born Again series. This comes a couple of weeks after Marvel fired its original team of writers and directors. The studio aims to steer the show in a new direction, believing this new team aligns with their vision for the series.

Dario Scardapane, who worked on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan as well as Netflix’s Marvel show The Punisher, has been hired as the showrunner for the series. It was also announced that Loki directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, have been brought on board to direct the remaining episode of Daredevil: Born Again. As of right now, about half of the episodes of the first season have been completed.

I do like that they hired the creative talent behind the Punisher series. That gives me hope that Daredevil: Born Again is in good hands. But, only time will tell how good the show will turn out. Punisher was filled with badass action and gritty violence. But, it also told a solid story.

There have been some rumors regarding the story that the series will tell, but with the series in the middle of a creative overhaul, anything can change. I imagine that the main focus of the story will stay the same.

The original Netflix Daredevil series was awesome. I loved that show and it set a pretty high bar. The big question with Daredevil: Born Again is will it reach that bar of awesomeness? I hope it does, but it’s not going to be easy.

What are your thoughts on this new creative team?
