Marvel's THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLIDER Will Premiere on Disney+ in August
When Marvel initially announced The Falcon and The Winter Solider Disney+ series, it was said that it was premiered in Fall 2021. Well, thanks to Deadline, we now have the exact month that the series will premiere. They say that the highly anticipated series is coming at the end of summer, in August! The report reads:
"Specific details about the story as well as other roles are being kept tightly under wraps. Disney has declined to comment. The series, executive produced by Malcolm Spellman, is slated to premiere on Disney+ in August."
According to a previous report, we learned that Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) might end up having to deal with some sort of massive viral threat. The report speculates that this viral threat could come from Virus X, the Madbomb, or something else that will put the population in grave danger. I imagine this play was hatched by Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo. It’s also been rumored that the "crux of what that show’s going to be” is that “the government doesn’t want Sam Wilson to be Captain America.” That’s probably how the character U.S. Agent comes into play. You can see a previously released photo of Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent holding Captain America’s shield, here.
It was also recently rumored that Toby Jones’ character, Arnim Zola, could make an appearance in the Disney+ series as well. It’ll be cool to see how this series turns out. We really don’t know much about it, but I’m sure that it’ll be a fun show! Emily Van Camp will also return as Sharon Carter.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be directed by Kari Skogland, and John Wick creator Derek Kolstad and Empire’s Malcolm Spellman are writing the scripts for the series.
Where is your excitement level at for this series?
