McKenna Grace Reportedly in Talks To Play Sidney Prescott's Daughter in SCREAM 7
We’ve been hearing that Sidney Prescott's daughter is going to play a major part in the story for Scream 7, and McKenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) is reportedly in talks to take on that role.
That news comes from Daniel Richtman, who adds that Grace will play Sidney’s eldest daughter. The movie will involve a "big time jump" following the events of the last movie. This is so that Sidney's children have grown to an appropriate slasher movie age.
It was also previously reported that Scream 7 "will have two main storylines, one about Sid and her friends from the neighborhood, and the second one about Sid's teen daughter Taylor (could be a codename) and her friends. Each of them will have to deal with Ghostface."
Sid and Gale will reportedly find themselves facing off with some kind of Ghostface cult.
US Magazine also confirmed that Courteney Cox will reprise her role as Gale Weathers. The actress said: "I’m the longest running Scream queen, so I guess I can’t stop now.”
Previous reports have also claimed that this film will be at least partially set in a new town and is being developed as the first installment of a new trilogy.
Scream creator Kevin Williamson is directing the film and Scream 7 is set to hit theaters on February 27, 2026.
