SCREAM 7 Will Reportedly Follow Two Main Storylines with Ghostface Targeting Sidney and Her Daughter
Some new plot details have surfaced for Scream 7, which will see Neve Campbell back in the role of Sidney Prescott, and it will be directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson.
It was also rumored that the story might involve a "big time jump" following the events of the last movie. The reason for this is so that Sidney's children have grown to an appropriate slasher movie age.
We are now learning from scooper MTTSH, that Scream 7 "will have two main storylines, one about Sid and her friends from the neighborhood, and the second one about Sid's teen daughter Taylor (could be a codename) and her friends. Each of them will have to deal with Ghostface."
This is pretty much in line with other things that have been reported for the sequel, which involves Sid and Gale (Courteney Cox) finding themselves facing off with some kind of Ghostface cult.
Previous reports have also claimed that this film will be at least partially set in a new town and is being developed as the first installment of a new trilogy.
Patrick Dempsey is said to be in talks to return as Sidney's husband, Detective Mark Kincaid, but that's yet to be confirmed.
Scream 7 is set to hit theaters on February 27, 2026.
