M3GAN 2.0 and SOULM8TE Footage Reaction Video - Robots and Death - CinemaCon 2025
During the Universal Pictures presentation at CinemaCon Blumhouse and Atomic Monster showed up to show off trailers for two of their upcoming killer robot horror films, M3GAN 2.0 and SOULM8TE. We were there to watch the ridiculous madness unfold and you can watch our reaction video below!
Allison Williams and Violet McGraw are set to reprise their roles in M3GAN 2.0, with Akela Cooper (Malignant, M3GAN) once again writing the script and James Wan on board to produce.
When previously talking about the sequel, producer James Wan teased, "It's early yet, but M3GAN is coming back in a big way. The first film came just at the right time [when concerns about AI were mounting], and we're definitely leaning into that on the next one. We're exploring the AI universe even further."
Evil Dead Rise star Lily Sullivan will play the “gorgeous, artificially intelligent android that a man acquires to help him cope with the loss of his recently deceased wife.
“In an attempt to create a truly sentient partner, the man inadvertently turns a harmless lovebot into a deadly soulmate.”
The movie is set in the same universe as M3GAN, and it’s described as being “a great deal more risqué than the original horror thriller.” It’s also said that the film falls in the tradition of ’90s domestic thrillers but with a modern, technological twist.
