More Proof That Henry Cavill's Return to SUPERMAN Isn't Set in Stone
As we wait for James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Cinematic Universe future plans to be revealed, all kinds of crazy reports are being shared! We recently reported that Wonder Woman 3 has been canceled because it did not fit in with the new plans that are being planned at DC Studios.
As I’ve been saying for a while, I personally have a feeling that Gunn and Safran are going to be closing out the Snyderverse, which is also what THR is also saying. They added in their report that the cancellation of “Wonder Woman 3, is the closing curtain of the Snyderverse, and the heroes cast by the filmmaker Zack Snyder for his Justice League. This one sees the shutting down of Man of Steel 2, with a returning Henry Cavill, and having no more Aquaman, fronted by Jason Momoa.”
These characters were also supposed to show up in The Flash, and even Cavill shot a cameo for the film. But, “sources say there is a debate inside the studio as to whether or not to keep the cameo and if its inclusion promises something that studio would have no plans on delivering.”
These are all things that I’ve heard from my own sources as well and the troubles with Henry Cavill’s Superman were brought into the light a couple of weeks ago as there was “no forward momentum on the project.” From everything that I’ve heard, mixed with all of these reports, I’ll be surprised if Cavill actually does come back as Superman.
I just think that Gunn and Safran are going to take things in a very different direction for the DC films moving forward. One day we’ll have the answers to our questions, but in the meantime, these reports coming out are all we’ve got!
