Netflix's LEAGUE OF LEGENDS Animated Series ARCANE Season 2 Coming in November 2024
Netflix has announced that its League of Legends animated series Arcane will return for its second season in November 2024. The first season of this series was so damn awesome and I just hope that this next season ends up being at least just as good as what Season 1 delivered.
Arcane is a highly-acclaimed series, and it became the first streaming series to win the Emmy Award for an animated program. The show also won nine Annie Awards, including for Best General Audience Animated Television Broadcast Production.
Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell will reprise their roles as sisters Vi and Jinx in the series, who are caught on opposing sides of a conflict in the utopian city of Piltover and its poor underbelly, Zaun.
Season 2 has been in development for a long time and when talking about why the development of Season 2 has taken so long, Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent previously said: "It is not ready yet and there [are] two reasons for that. One, you want the quality. We just don't want to rush and so that takes time. So that's the good reason. The bad reason is, honestly, we didn't know if Season 1 was going to be a success so we didn't start Season 2 until [later]. If I had known, we could have started Season 2 way earlier. But we didn't know so we waited a bit and now we're paying the price. So, unfortunately, it's not going to be this year."
Arcane Season 2 will be executiveproduced by Linke, alongside Marc Merrill, Brandon Beck, Jane Chung and Thomas Vu. The series is directed by Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord.
