New Clip and Poster For The Crazy-Fun-Looking Vampire Film ABIGAIL
Universal Pictures has released a new clip and poster for its child ballerina vampire horror movie Abigail. The poster comes with the tagline, “Children can be such monsters.”
A gruesome new trailer was released for the movie last week, and audiences seem to be loving what they see from the movie! It just looks like a good bloody time!
The movie stars Matilda the Musical breakout Alisha Weir as a seemingly innocent ballerina who is kidnapped by a gang. Unfortunately for them, the kid turns out to be a bloodthirsty vampire.
The clip features the scene where the kidnappers learn that the little girl is, in fact, a vampire, as she attacks them.
The movie comes from the Radio Silence directing team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not, Scream), and the film is described as “a brash, blood-thirsty new vision of the vampire flick.”
The story centers on a 12-year-old ballerina who also happens to be a vampire, and she is out for blood. The featurette features one of the film’s stars, Kathryn Newton, as she tours the set and shows off three of the rooms they filmed in.
In the film, “After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.”
The movie also comes with a great cast which includes Melissa Barrera (Scream franchise, In the Heights), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood). Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Darklands) takes on the role of Abigail.
The movie is set to hit theaters on April 19th, 2024.
