New JOKER 2 Set Videos Feature Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn Singing and Ascending Stairs From First Film
Some new videos from the set of director Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie a Deux have surfaced featuring Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn. The first video doesn’t show the actress, but you can hear her singing a rendition of the classic song "Couple of Swells," which was originally sung by Judy Garland and Fred Astaire in the film Easter Parade.
The second video features Gaga as Quinn at the iconic location of the first film, the stairs that Joker danced on. Those stairs connect Shakespeare and Anderson Avenues at West 167th Street in the Bronx, and they have since become a tourist destination.
All we know about the movie at this time is that it will be a musical and the story will mostly be set in Arkham Asylum. The film’s working title, Joker: Folie à Deux, refers to the clinical term for the “shared madness,” hallucinations, and delusions of two people.
The movie also stars Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, with Catherine Keene, Jacob Lofland, and Brendan Gleeson recently cast in undisclosed roles.
Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on October 4th, 2024. You can see some previously released images of Harley Quinn in full costume here.
