New LOGAN Photo Hints at The Downfall of Mutants
In one of the many recent updates we've heard about the next Wolverine movie, Logan, word came out that in the film's futuristic setting, mutant births are mysteriously in severe decline. Now a new image from the film's official Instagram account wponx seems to corroborate that information, or maybe even hint at a larger epidemic altogether:
In case the image is removed for some reason, or you can't view embedded Instagram photos in your browser, it's a photo of a dingy-looking bathroom with the question "Where are all the mutants?" scrawled on one of the stalls. Does this mean that Logan and Professor Xavier (who we know is in the movie) are two of the last mutants remaining on Earth at this point? If so, that's a fascinating contrast to the other X-Men films, but what about Mister Sinister? We've heard that he won't appear in the movie aside from maybe a post-credits scene, but since this film is so far in the future from the traditional X-movies and this is Hugh Jackman's last hurrah, what good would a post-credits scene do involving that character? More time travel? I don't know, but Logan is certainly gearing up to be a unique project.
