LOGAN: More Roles Revealed For Wolverine's Final Adventure

We've learned a lot about Logan since the film received its official title a few days ago. We've seen a page of the script, some images teasing the R-rating, a picture of an old-ass Professor X, a couple of plot details, and which villain he'll be going up against. Now The Wrap is here with some more information about some of the film's characters.

The outlet's sources tell them that the young girl seen in the teaser poster is named "Laura," and she'll be — as we all suspected and has been reported for months — the young mutant X-23. The new news is that she's reportedly being played by Sienna Novikov in her first big role.

The second piece of info they share is that Richard E. Grant's mad scientist character is the head of Transigen (the company turning mutant kids into killers) and his character is named Dr. Zander Rice. From The Wrap:

In the Marvel comics, Dr. Rice was the surgical head of the project which created X-23. Dale Rice, Zander’s father, worked on the original Weapon X Project where he was killed by an escaping Wolverine as he fled with a briefcase full of information about the project. Years later, Zander — now called Dr. Rice — became the surgical head on a project to recreate the Weapon X procedure.

Their final bit of info claims that despite Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg saying on the commentary track of X-Men: Apocalypse that Mr. Sinister would next appear in Logan, Mr. Sinister won't appear in the movie after all — at least in the main story, anyway. The site leaves the door open for the possibility that Sinister could appear in a post-credits sequence.

Long thought by fans to be an adaptation of the Old Man Logan comic story, it seems as if this movie won't actually share that much in common with that specific comic after all. What do you make of all this? Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
