New Photo of Tilda Swinton as Madame Blanc in The SUSPIRIA Remake
We've got a new photo to share with you for the upcoming Suspiria remake. It features Tilda Swinton in the role of Madame Blanc, who is one of the teachers at a dance academy in Berlin that happens to be run by witches. When talking about the character, director Luca Guadagnino tells EW:
"Madame Blanc is a woman who is in a moment of conflict. The conflict between art and magic is something that is seen in her face."
One of the stars of the film, Dakota Johnson, talked about working with Swinton:
"Oh my gosh, I just adore her so deeply. I want to make movies with her forever and I hope we will. It’s just an amazing, amazing friendship and collaboration that I have, that I’m so grateful for in my life."
There's been a lot of hype for this film and it all started with some insane footage that was screened at CinemaCon. You can read a detailed account of that footage here. It was pretty jacked up. Here's the synopsis for the series:
As a darkness builds at the center of a world-renown dance company, its artistic director (Tilda Swinton), a young American new to the troupe (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf) become entangled in a bloody, sighing nightmare.
The remake also stars Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), Mia Goth (A Cure for Wellness) and Jessica Harper of the original film. Suspiria will be released on November 2nd, 2018. I hope we get another crazy trailer to watch soon! To watch the first trailer, click here.
