New STAR WARS: AHSOKA Promo Spot Teases Hayden Christensen‘s Anakin Skywalker
We’ve got a new promo spot to share with you today for Lucasfilm’s and Dave Filoni’s Star Wars: Ahsoka series. What makes this new video so exciting is it’s the first one for the series that teases Hayden Christensen‘s Anakin Skywalker! It includes a voice-over by Christensen‘s Anakin Skywalker offering guidance to his ex-Padawan.
He says: “As your master, it is my responsibility to prepare you. I will always be there to look out for you… Don’t be afraid. Trust your instincts. I know you can do this, Ahsoka.”
The promo also includes discussions about Anakin, who went on to become Darth Vader. As Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) faces off with against Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson), he recalls Anakin’s notoriety among the Jedi Order. There are also a couple of brief shots of Anakin and Darth Vader, but they are from older Star Wars movies. We don’t know how big of a role Christensen will have in this series, but he will reportedly return for it.
The series is set after the fall of the Empire, and follows the “former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.” The show picks up where Star Wars Rebels left off and the search for Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) and Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) begins.
Sabine joins Ahsoka on her journey, and they will be joined by Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and the droid, Chopper, and Zeb will also most likely return.
Ahsoka will debut on Disney+ on August 23, 2023.
