Wicked Fun Trailer and Featurette for the Child Vampire Horror Film ABIGAIL - "It's a Blood Bath"
Universal Pictures has released a new trailer and behind-the-scenes featurette for its ballerina vampire horror movie Abigail.
The movie comes from the Radio Silence directing team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not, Scream), and the film is described as “a brash, blood-thirsty new vision of the vampire flick.”
The trailer is loaded with tons of wild and wicked fun new footage for you to enjoy! I’m seriously excited for this movie! It’s going to be a blast to watch on the big screen!
The featurette offers some additional insight on the story and characters in the movie and it promises that it’s going to be a “blood bath.” So, prepare for some bloody insanity.
The story centers on a 12-year-old ballerina who also happens to be a vampire, and she is out for blood. The featurette features one of the film’s stars, Kathryn Newton, as she tours the set and shows off three of the rooms they filmed in.
In the film, “After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.”
The movie also comes with a great cast which includes Melissa Barrera (Scream franchise, In the Heights), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood). Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Darklands) takes on the role of Abigail.
The movie is set to hit theaters on April 19th, 2024.
