ONE PIECE Star Inaki Godoy Is Prepared to Play Monkey D. Luffy for "Many Years"
Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece was such an awesome series, that was a great adaptation that actually improved on the source material in ways. But, one of the things that made the series work so well was its star Inaki Godoy, who played the main character Monkey D. Luffy. He was so damn delightful!
Well, during a recent interview with Teen Vogue, Godoy said he is prepared to play Luffy for years to come, saying: "I can do One Piece for many years and I can be happy, and I don't need to do a million things.”
The actor went on to say there is one role he's dying to explore. Godoy would like to play someone who’s totally opposite of Luffy. He said: "[I'd like to play] someone who is horrible and who loves being horrible.”
You know, as charming and lovable this actor is as Luffy, I can actually imagine him playing some kind of insane sinister villain. I can see him shifting that energy he has into something evil. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy him as the hero in One Piece!
There’s no word on when we will see One Piece Season 2, but fans are excited about seeing this awesome story continue.
