Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight Rumored To Appear in Three Big Marvel Movies
Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight is an incredibly interesting character in the MCU. While I wasn’t the biggest fan of how the story for the series played out, I do like this character and think there’s potential for his story to continue in the MCU.
As of right now, no official plans have been revealed regarding the future of Moon Knight, who comes with three personalities including Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley. But, there is a new report saying that the character might returns for three big Marvel movies.
According to insider @MyTimeToShineH, the current plan is for Moon Knight to return for Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars, and the long-rumoured Midnight Suns movie.
This news comes a few weeks after Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab said that there have been no talks over the Marvel character's future, but, he also doesn't think we have seen the last of him yet.
Diab said: "You never know – with Marvel nothing is called finished. There could be a film, or he could go into another universe.”
"Right now nothing is in talks but definitely with Moon Knight, I would love to be involved in anything else and it could happen for sure. I have a great relationship with them."
There are no other details on how the character would be utilized in the Avengers films, but he would have a big role to play in Midnight Suns, which is reportedly being directed by Michael Giacchino, the director behind Marvel’s horror special Werewolf by Night.
Midnight Suns is Marvel's response to things that go bump in the night. They are supernatural superheroes who tackle supernatural threats.
The team's roster has varied over the years but has included characters from the darker corners of the Marvel Universe. With characters like Moon Knight, Doctor Strange, and the recent addition of Werewolf by Night and Man-Thing, and the upcoming introduction of Blade to the MCU, the foundation for this supernatural squad has been laid.
When previously asked about what MCU project he personally would like to see Moon Knight show up in one day, Moon Knight star Oscar Isaac said:
“I thought there was an interesting opportunity with Midnight Suns. There are just such interesting characters in there.
“Now that we’ve set the groundwork with learning who Marc, Steven, and Jake — less so — are, it could be an interesting opportunity to see him as a part of a team and what that dynamic would be.
“I think that’d be exciting. For me, I definitely hope there’s some room to explore that possibility.”
It would be cool to see Moon Knight back in action and it would be a lot of fun to see him interact with other characters in the MCU. He would certainly bring an interesting dynamic to the stories, but we’ll have to wait and see how this all plays out.
