Peter Dinklage Officially Joins The Cast of DEXTER: RESURRECTION as The Villain

Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones, The Toxic Avenger) has officially joined the cast of the Showtime’s upcpoming series Dexter: Resurrection.

Dinklage will join Michael C. Hall in the series, which will be a continuation of Dexter: New Blood set in the present day.

We don’t have any story details to share yet, but Dinklage will play Leon Prater, “a billionaire venture capitalist. To the world, Leon is a generous philanthropist, but behind his polished exterior lies dark intrigue.”

Yes, Dinklage is playing the big bad villain of the season, which is going to be fun to see. It’ll be interesting to see how this next chapter of Dexter’s journey will play out.

Leon will work closely alongside Charley (Uma Thurman), “his head of security. A former Special Ops officer, Charley worked various high-level private security jobs before taking on her position as Prater’s resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman.”

The series also stars David Zayas, Jack Alcott and James Remar, who will also serve as series regulars returning to the roles they made famous: Angel Batista, Harrison Morgan and Harry Morgan, respectively.

Dexter: Resurrection is executive produced by Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Dexter: Original Sin), who also returns to serve as showrunner. Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) also executive produces along with Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris) and Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), with Marcos Siega (Dexter: New Blood) serving as producing director.

Monica Raymund (Dexter: Original Sin) is set to direct four episodes with Siega directing six episodes of the series distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
