Quentin Tarantino's STAR TREK Film is Said to Feature The Reboot Cast
As you know, Paramount Pictures and J.J. Abrams are currently producing two separate Star Trek films at the moment. There's Star Trek 4 which is set to be directed by S.J. Clarkson (Heroes, Dexter, Jessica Jones), the plot of which is said to revolve around Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and his dad George Kirk (Chis Hemsworth). The script is being written by J.D. Payne (Godzilla vs. Kong) and Patrick McKay (Star Trek Beyond).
Then there's the R-rated Quentin Tarantino film that everyone is curious and excited about. That film is currently being written by The Revenant screenwriter Mark L. Smith. We don't really know much about the story, and there have been a lot of fans wondering what characters would be involved with the story that he's developing. Well, today we have some new information on Tarantino's film from Zachary Quinto. While talking to the Happy Sad Confused, the actor said that he believes the film will involve the reboot cast.
“My assumption is that it’s with us. I mean, that’s how it’s been presented. I don’t know. Look, until deals are done and contracts are signed and schedules are cleared, nothing is set in stone, so anything can happen. My understanding is that Quentin had this idea and they were shaping it and forming it and he’s off to do his Manson movie. And it would be after that that [the 2009 cast] would maybe go and do one with him, which is pretty exciting, pretty cool.”
I know a lot of fans would have liked to see Tarantino work with Patrick Stewart because The Next Generation is Tarantino's favorite series in the franchise. Stewart himself even said that he wanted in! But it looks like he might end up getting his own series anyway!
I personally like the Star Trek reboot cast and I'm really curious to see what adventure that Tarantino has in store for them in his movie. Is there anything inparticular that you're hoping to see in the film?
