Randall Park is John Krasinski in Funny Behind the Scenes Super Bowl Spot for Ryan Renolds' Movie IF
Paramount has released a funny behind-the-scenes teaser for John Krasinski and Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming fantasy comedy IF. In the trailer, Randall Park is writer and director John Krasinski, and Reynolds is very confused by the whole situation. The video features Park as Krasinski directing the movie and talking about his vision for the film.
This is the second time we’ve seen this fun little prank, as Randall Park switched places with Krasinski as a joke in The Office to mess with Dwight.
When previously talking about the movie, Krasinski said that he wanted to make a movie for kids to enjoy in the same way that he enjoyed watching E.T. and The Goonies when he was growing up.
The movie is described as "the tale of a man who can see and talk to people's imaginary friends, befriending those that have been forgotten or discarded. However, some imaginary friends, lacking love and friendship, turn to the dark side, and it's up to Reynolds' character to save the world from those that become evil."
The film also has a great cast that includes Steve Carell, Matt Damon, Jon Stewart, Emily Blunt, Maya Rudolph, Sam Rockwell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Christopher Meloni, Richard Jenkins, and wkwafina. Other actors that were previously announced include Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Cailey Fleming, Louis Gossett Jr, Fiona Shaw, Alan S. Kim, and Bobby Moynihan.
One of the imaginary friends in the story is IF, and IF is a furry purple creature that is voiced by Carrell. Reynolds described the movie as “a live-action pixar film,” and Krasinski said, “I want this movie to be believing in something bigger… and getting you through something bigger, that’s possible.”
The movie will be released on May 17th, 2024.
