Fun Trailer For Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski Imaginary Friend Movie IF

The first teaser trailer and poster have been released for director John Krasinski’s new movie If, a fantasy comedy that revolves around imaginary friends. Ryan Reynolds stars in the movie and when previously talking about it, Krasinski said that he wanted to make a movie for kids to enjoy in the same way that he enjoyed watching E.T. and The Goonies when he was growing up. The poster comes with the tagline, “A story you have to believe to see."

The movie is described as "the tale of a man who can see and talk to people's imaginary friends, befriending those that have been forgotten or discarded. However, some imaginary friends, lacking love and friendship, turn to the dark side, and it's up to Reynolds' character to save the world from those that become evil." 

The film also has a great cast that includes Steve Carell, Matt Damon, Jon Stewart, Emily Blunt, Maya Rudolph, Sam Rockwell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Christopher Meloni, Richard Jenkins, Awkwafina, and Vince Vaughn. Other actors that were previously announced include Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Cailey Fleming, Louis Gossett Jr, Fiona Shaw, Alan S. Kim, and Bobby Moynihan.

One of the imaginary friends in the story is IF, and IF is a furry purple creature that is voiced by Carrell. You’ll get your first look at the purple creature and several of the other imaginary friend characters in the trailer.

Reynolds described the movie as “a live-action pixar film,” and Krasinski said, “I want this movie to be believing in something bigger… and getting you through something bigger, that’s possible.”

IF looks like a great movie that will tell and imaginative and uplifting story and I’m really excited about watching it! Check out the trailer for yourself and tell us what you think!
