Release Date Shuffle for BEYOND THE SPIDER-VERSE, VENOM 3, KRAVEN THE HUNTER, MADAME WEB, and GHOSTBUSTERS Sequel
Sony Pictures has shuffled up a bunch of release dates for its upcoming slate of anticipated films. It starts with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse which has been delayed indefinitely. We definitely saw that one coming as one of the artists on the film previously said that “there is no way” the movie was going to come out on the original release date the studio set, which was March 29, 2024. So, as of right now, that movie has no release date.
The other film being changed up at Sony Pictures include the following:
Ghostbusters: Firehouse moves from December 20th, 2023 to March 29th, 2024.
Kraven the Hunter has been delayed a full year from October 6th, 2023 to August 30, 2024.
Madame Web was moved up from February 16th, 2024 to February 14, 2024.
Venom 3 is officially dated for July 12, 2024.
Gran Turismo was moved back a couple of weeks from August 11th, 2023 to August 25th, 2023.
It seems the main reason for these release date changes is because of the writers’ and actors’ strikes. I remember a few years ago when Hollywood shut down because of the pandemic and the news was filled with release date changes! It looks like we’re going to go back to that kind of news, but Hollywood is shut down for different reasons this time around.
