Ron Howard's Survival Thriller ORIGIN OF SPECIES Cast Includes Ana De Armas, Jude Law, Alicia Vikander, and More
Ron Howard is prepping to shoot his next film project, a survival thriller titled Origin of Species, and the director went out and got himself an all-star cast of actors for the movie. Ana De Armas (No Time To Die), Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes), Alicia Vikander (Tomb Raider) and Daniel Brühl (All Quiet On The Western Front) are all attached.
The movie is based on two different accounts of the same true story, and the film is described as “a darkly comic tale of murder and survival, set around a group of eclectic characters who abandon civilization for the Galapagos. They are all searching for the answer to that ever-pressing question that plagues us all: what is the meaning of life.”
Ah yes, the age-old question of the meaning of life. My answer to that is that life is what you make of it, so make the best of it and in the end, it’s the size of your heart that matters. But hey, if Hoaward wants to build a survival thriller around that question… I’ll show up to watch it!
I’m a fan of Howard’s films. He’s a great filmmaker that knows how to tell a solid story. Howard is coming off the Amazon Thai cave rescue thriller Thirteen Lives, which was really good! The movie starred Viggo Mortensen, Colin Farrell, and Joel Edgerton.
He’ll start shooting this movie at the end of 2023 in Queensland, Australia. The script comes from Noah Pink (Tetris).
