Rosario Dawson and Tiffany Haddish Team Up for Supernatural Horror-Thriller THE LESSON
Tiffany Haddish and Rosario Dawson are stepping into darker territory. The two stars have signed on to headline the upcoming horror-thriller The Lesson, a new feature from executive producer JoJo Ryder, who is making his directorial debut with the film.

Haddish, best known recently for Bad Boys: Ride Or Die, and Dawson, who leads the Star Wars series Ahsoka, will anchor a story that blends supernatural unease with deeply buried secrets.
The film follows a devoted teacher whose death triggers a string of disturbing events that begin to haunt his former students. As the strange occurrences escalate, the group is forced to deal with unresolved guilt and secrets they thought were long buried.
It’s a haunting setup that leans into the idea that the past doesn’t stay buried just because you want it to.
Ryder, whose producing credits include American Heist, The Bachelor, Mack & Rita, A Little White Lie, and Talks With Mama Tina, wrote the script and will direct.
The Lesson marks his first time helming a feature, and he’s assembling a solid creative team to bring it to life. Production is gearing up to shoot in Los Angeles later this year, with additional casting currently underway.
Haddish shared what hooked her into the project, saying: “What drew me to The Lesson was how layered it is. It’s not just horror — it’s about choices, consequences, and the things we think we can walk away from. Audiences are in for something unexpected.”
It sounds like The Lesson is digging into emotional scars and moral fallout, using horror as the pressure cooker.
Dawson is just as excited to jump in, adding: “I’m excited about the project, looking forward to be working with Tiffany and JoJo.”

Haddish has several projects in post-production, including The Toad, The Deputy, and Motion, while Dawson is gearing up for season two of Disney’s Star Wars spinoff Ahsoka. Both actresses have shown impressive range over the years, so seeing them collide in a suspense-driven horror story is an exciting shift.
With a supernatural premise, a guilt-soaked mystery at its core, and two powerhouse performers leading the charge, The Lesson is shaping up to be a horror-thriller worth keeping an eye on.
