Rosario Dawson Says There Have Been No Talks Regarding AHSOKA Season 2
Lucasfilm has yet to officially announce that Ahsoka is getting a second season, but it’s been reported that Season 2 had been greenlit and that they started development on it before the Hollywood writers’ strike. As for what the actors know, they don’t seem to know much.
Series star Rosario Dawson recently talked with the Dagobah Dispatch podcast, and while on the show she was asked if there had been any talks with her collaborators about the second season and this was her response:
"No. We're supposed to be having a dinner soon, of the whole cast, which will be really nice because I haven't seen everyone. I was very jealous seeing everyone at some of their cons recently, which I wasn't able to be at."
Ahsoka Season 1 ended with a lot of loose threads that fans are all excited about seeing explored further. It’s just going to be one of those things we’re going to have to be patient with because it’s gonna be awhile before a second season happens. All of this is leading to Dave Filoni’s big Star Wars movie. One thing we know for sure is that Filoni will get to realize his full vision for Star Wars because, well… he’s Chief Creative Officer at Lucasfilm now.
Ahosoka also stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka was written by Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck.
