Rumored Details on Red Hulk's Powers in CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD

Some rumored information has been shared regarding Red Hulk’s appearance in Captain America: Brave New World. Harrison Ford is taking on the role of President “Thunderbolt” Ross in the film, and it’s safe to assume that at some point, he will transform into Red Hulk. Now, a new report says that the villain will feature a comic-accurate power.

Industry scooper @CanWeGetToast is the person behind this new and he claims (Via CBM) that “Ross' rage as Red Hulk will see him burst into flame, just like the character did on the page during his early appearances. In fact, the heat he lets off will be so intense, it actually melts Cap's Vibranium wings!”

That will be cool to see! I can definitely imagine Harrison Ford getting that seriously angry! It’s going to be interesting to see how Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson is going to handle such a powerful supervillain because, well… unlike Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson doesn’t have superpowers, which will bring an interesting element to the story.

Kevin Feige previously talked about the dynamic between the characters Wilson and Ross, saying: “There's a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson. They have a history together, but in this film, we'll be seeing the dynamic between Captain America and the president of the United States in a way that is just incredible.”

Mackie previously discussed the role of Captain America and how his character is different from Steve Rogers and the rest of the superheroes in the MCU. He explained:

"Sam is the only character without superpowers. He's just a regular dude hanging out with a bunch of weirdos. Being from New Orleans, I've been in a few fights. And heart and charisma never helped me in a fight. That usually just got me beat up. So that might cause an issue when you go fight somebody like Thanos.

"So, I think with him, he has to come to the stage with a very different understanding of what it is to be a good guy or be a bad guy and what are the decisions that make you toe that line in the way that you did. So, I just see him as more of a humane Cap as opposed to a distinctive judge Cap -- [a] Cap of judgment, where this is right and this is wrong. There are decisions that make you choose right or wrong."

Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox) is directing the film from a script penned by Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman, both of whom wrote for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Spellman will produce with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

Captain America: Brave New World also stars Danny Ramirez, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, Liv Tyler, and WWE Superstar Seth Rollins.

The movie was also recently given a new release date of February 14th, 2025.
