Ryan Coogler's Marvel Sequel BLACK PANTHER 3 Expected to Hit Theaters in Early 2028

We knew Black Panther 3 was heading our way, but excitement for the film ramped up last year, when Denzel Washington revealed that he would be in the sequel.

Director Ryan Coogler confirmed it, and just recently revealed that the movie would be his next project. Now we know, according to The New York Times, where the film will fit into the upcoming Marvel timeline.

The article, which focuses on Coogler’s last film, Sinners, states that Black Panther 3 will be released in February 2028. This is interesting timing, as it comes just two months after Avengers: Secret Wars.

If these next two Avengers movies are anything like the last two, it’s safe to assume that fans will be reeling, and it will be nice to know there’s another story within the universe following up soon after.

Coogler has stated that he’s fired up to tell this final story in his Black Panther trilogy, and after the events of Doomsday (2026) and Secret Wars (2027), Coogler has his work cut out for him in shaping his world to fit the trajectory of the MCU.
