Ryan Reynolds Reveals Four Words of Advice From Kevin Feige That Haunted Him While Making DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE
Ryan Reynolds continues to talk about his massive Marvel movie hit Deadpool & Wolverine, sharing some behind-the-scenes stories that some fans will enjoy. This one included four words of advice from Kevin Feige and haunted him during the development
While reflecting on the production during an appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival, Reynolds revealed the four words from the Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
Reynolds said: "He said something that sounds very pedantic and is probably not the thing to say out loud, but actually, weirdly, served as a creative engine. He was like, 'Make every scene great.' And I was like, 'Thanks, Kev. Sounds good.'"
Reynolds went on to admit: "[They] haunted me. ‘Make it great’ – that’s hard.”
In the end, Reynolds succeeded and made a great Deadpool & Wolverine movie. The question is, does Feige give that advice to every filmmaker who works on a Marvel movie? Because if so, it doesn’t always work.
Feige should probably, first and foremost, encourage the Marvel filmmakers to tell a great story, then they can work on making the scenes great.
