Sadie Sink Rumored to Play Gwen Stacy in SPIDER-MAN: BRNAD NEW DAY

The Marvel movie rumor mill is constantly spinning for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and now we are back onSadie Sink and the character she might be playing in the movie. A new report suggests her mystery role might finally be revealed.

Internet scooper Kristian Harloff claims he’s heard something “pretty close to guarantee” about Sink stepping into the shoes of Gwen Stacy. This is something fans have been speculating about her character since she was cast.

Other theories have ranged from Mayday Parker to Mary Jane Watson to Felicia Hardy, but if this report is true, Gwen Stacy could be swinging back into live-action.

If confirmed, Sink would be the third actress to take on the role. Bryce Dallas Howard played Gwen in Spider-Man 3 (2007), while Emma Stone brought her to life in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and its sequel, where Gwen met her tragic end after Harry Osborn’s Green Goblin caused her fatal fall. That version of the franchise reportedly had plans to resurrect her in a third movie that never happened.

In the comics, Gwen is Peter Parker’s college classmate and one of his great loves. With Tom Holland’s Peter heading off to college in Brand New Day, introducing Gwen now would fit neatly into the timeline. Marvel has also reinvented the character in recent years as Spider-Woman, better known as “Spider-Gwen”, a hero who’s become a central figure in the animated Spider-Verse films.

On top of the Gwen Stacy rumor, its been rumored that Brand New Day will feature more villains than fans expect. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton with a script from Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the movie stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Sadie Sink, Michael Mando, and Liza Colón-Zayas, with several surprise roles still under wraps.

Marvel Studios has Spider-Man: Brand New Day set for release on July 31, 2026. The studio has yet to confirm Sink’s involvement as Gwen Stacy, so for now, fans will have to wait for the official word.
