SCREAM VII Rumored to Involve Ghostface Targeting Sidney Prescott and Her Family

The development of Scream VII is underway with franchise creator Kevin Williamson directing and Neve Campbell set to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott. Courtney Cox and Patrick Dempsey are also said to be joining the sequel

This next film is going to take the franchise in a whole new direction as it will no longer follow the story of Samantha and Tara Carpenter. And a new report has surfaced saying that this new direction will involve Sidney Prescott’s family.

According to insider scooper Daniel Richtman: "They are looking to cast [Sidney Prescott's] two kids. It seems like the movie will focus on Sid's family as all 4 (her, her husband and 2 kids) are listed as leads."

With this being the case, it seems like Ghostface will target Sidney’s family, which means things are going to get very dark and crazy for her as she is forced to fight and protect them.

This could also set up a whole new storyline that follows SIdney’s kids as the franchise continues. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s just wait to see what happens in Scream VII first.

I’m just happy that we’ll see Campbell back in action as Sidney Prescott!
