Sony Pictures is Reportedly Developing SILVER & BLACK as TV Series Instead of a Movie

As you know, Sony Pictures had been developing a Marvel film titled Silver & Black which would have featured an adventure including the characters Silver Sable and Black Cat. They eventually pulled the plug on that film and then started developing them as individual solo movies.

Well, now it seems like plans have changed again. According to a new report from Fandomwire, the studio might now be developing a Silver & Black TV series. This comes following the news that Sony would be developing a number of TV shows centered around the Marvel characters from the Spider-Man universe. Many of those shows are being developed by Phil Lord and Chirs Miller. When previously talking about these shows, Miller said:

“We are developing a handful of live-action shows using Sony’s Marvel characters, of which there are like 900 characters. We’re figuring out a way to develop the shows so that each are their own unique experience but are also related.

“We’ve been talking to a lot of potential teammates for trying to do something not like anything else that’s been done on television. It’ll be a little while before it all comes together and is on the air, but I think it is going to be something really special.”

There's no word on if director Gina Prince-Bythewood or any of the movies writers will be involved in any way on this series if this is actually really happening. A TV project like this wouldn’t surprise me, and who knows, maybe these two characters will get movies and a series! We’ll just have to wait and see what’s really happening when Sony decides to make an official announcement.

Black Cat and Silver Sable are both great and interesting characters, so whatever plans Sony has in store for them, I’m interested in seeing what they ultimately do with them.
