SPIDER-MAN 2 Game Director Assures Fans That They Are "Not Running Out of Villains" to Play With

Between Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, Marvel and Insomniac Games have used a lot of the main villains from the Spider-Man universe. You’d think that maybe they are running out of them to use when they end up making a third game, but according to Spider-Man 2 director Bryan Intihar, they are "not running out of villains" to play with yet.

While talking to IGN's Beyond! Podcast, Intihar was asked if there were any other villains to use after Spider-Man 2 and he explained: "We are not running out of villains. I never think we're going to run out of villains, ever." 

So there you go, they believe that they have enough villains to sustain the franchise for as long as they keep making games. If you haven’t played thought the game yet, you might want to skip this next part because there are Spoilers.

In the game, players face off with villains such as Venom, Kraven the Hunter, Sandman, Lizard, and more. There are also some other familiar faces throughout the game, such as Doc Ock and Cindy Moon aka Silk. When talking about that Intihar said: "I will tell you two things, Otto [Doc Ock] was always going to be teased at the end of this game, but Cindy Moon [Silk] was never first talked about."

He went on to say: "If we get fortunate enough to keep working on these things, this is something we might explore." While a third game has not been officially announced, Insomniac's developers have teased an "epic" third game as well as talked about the potential for a Venom spin-off.

One thing we know, though, is that after the success of Spider-Man 2, we’re definitely going to get more of these Spider-Man games!
