STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW Release Date Moved Up a Day; New Poster Released
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will arrive on Disney Plus a little bit earlier than we expected. The series is now set to premiere on Monday, December 2nd, which is a whole day earlier than it was originally supposed to drop. The rest of the episodes will still be released on Tuesdays every week.
Skeleton Crew is a Goonies-inspired Amblin-style Star Wars series that follows the journey of four kids “who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy, crossing paths with the likes of Jod Na Nawood, the mysterious character played by Law.
“Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”
The show's co-creator Chris Ford previously explained that the Skeleton Crew kids think of the Jedi like fairy tale characters: "We wanted to include the idea that these kids had heard of Jedi and tales of good versus evil in the kind of way in our planet we have fairy tales or King Arthur stories of the Knights of the Round Table".
The series was created by Jon Watts (Spider-Man) and it also stars Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith.
The episodes in the show will be directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, The Daniels, David Lowery, Jake Schreier, and Lee Isaac Chung. The Mandalorian's Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will executive produce.
