EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE Directors Working on STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW Series

Everything Everywhere all at Once directors Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan are currently working on Lucasfilm’s upcoming series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, which is being developed by Spider-Man franchise director Jon Watts. The Daniels, who recently took home some Oscar wins, will direct at least one episode, but it could be more.

The Star Wars show has been described as ”a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.” The story will follow four young kids from a tiny little planet, and they end up getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy and embark on a journey to find their way back home.

The film was pitched to Lucasfilm as “Goonies in Star Wars," which sounds like a fun concept and one that The Daniels could have a lot of fun with, especially with their storytelling and filmmaking style. Watts also explained that while the series stars four kids, “it's not a kid’s show." The adventure that they find themselves on is said to be an intense and dark one.

Jude Law stars in the series, and it’s been reported that his character is “a teacher and the show is like a field trip into and out of the known Star Wars Universe.” The project is also set in the same universe at The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. You can read more details on the series here.

There still isn’t a list of directors that have been shared that are working on the series, but I’m sure all of those names will be revealed at some point. Maybe at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration.
