TALK TO ME Directors Say Legendary Pictures Gave Them Creative Freedom on The STREET FIGHTER Movie
The directors of the new horror movie hit Talk to Me, Danny and Michael Philippou, are next set to direct a new live-action film adaptation of Steet Fighter for Legendary Entertainment.
No real details have been shared about the movie, and there haven’t been any updates since it was announced. But, the directors recently revealed that they have been given creative freedom on the project.
Michael commented on how the movie “has an amazing lore, characters, and world.” Danny then added: “With Street Fighter, Legendary, [it appears] that they’re going to let us take control and really do our thing with it. It’s very exciting.”
That’s all they had to say about it, but it will be interesting to see how these YouTubers go from a low-budget horror film like Talk To Me, to a big-budget studio tentpole film like Street Fighter. They did a great job with Talk To Me, but Street Fighter is a different beast and I just hope that they have what it takes to make a great Street Fighter movie!
If they actually do it right, they could build an awesome franchise for fans!
