Taylor Sheridan and Zoe Saldaña's LIONESS Renewed for Season 2 at Paramount+
Taylor Sheridan’s special ops espionage drama Lioness starring Zoe Saldaña and Laysla De Oliveira, has officially been renewed for a second season by Paramount+.
The series is inspired by an actual US military program, and it “follows the life of Joe (Saldaña) while she attempts to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the CIA's spear in the war on terror.
“The Lioness Program, overseen by Kaitlyn Meade (Kidman) and Donald Westfield (Michael Kelly), enlists an aggressive Marine Raider named Cruz (Laysla De Oliveira) to operate undercover alongside Joe among the power brokers of State terrorism in the CIA's efforts to thwart the next 9/11.”
Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount+ said in a statement: “Our Paramount+ audience resoundingly has joined forces in support of Lioness’ gripping, global story and the powerhouse performances from Zoe Saldaña, Laysla De Oliveira and Nicole Kidman.
