Teaser Trailer for Netflix's ARCANE Season 2 Animated Series

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Season 2 of its hit League of Legends animated series Arcane. This is a series that I’ve been very much looking forward to watching. The first season was absolutely incredible and I’m so excited to see how the story continues with this next season.

The sneak peek video features the character Singed sitting in a dark room and he has tubes coming out of his arm with blood running through them. It also reveals a giant creature with green glowing attachments attached to it and it is hung above Singed as an ominous music box plays.

Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell will reprise their roles as sisters Vi and Jinx in the series, who are caught on opposing sides of a conflict in the utopian city of Piltover and its poor underbelly, Zaun.

Season 2 has been in development for years and when talking about why the development of Season 2 has taken so long, Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent previously said: "It is not ready yet and there [are] two reasons for that. One, you want the quality. We just don't want to rush and so that takes time. So that's the good reason. The bad reason is, honestly, we didn't know if Season 1 was going to be a success so we didn't start Season 2 until [later]. If I had known, we could have started Season 2 way earlier. But we didn't know so we waited a bit and now we're paying the price. So, unfortunately, it's not going to be this year."

Arcane Season 2 will be executive produced by Linke, alongside Marc Merrill, Brandon Beck, Jane Chung and Thomas Vu. The series is directed by Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord.

Here's how Netflix describes the animated story of Jinx and Vi, "Amidst the escalating unrest between the rich, utopian city of Piltover and its seedy, oppressed underbelly of Zaun, sisters Vi and Jinx find themselves on opposing sides of a brewing conflict over clashing convictions and arcane technologies."

Arcane Season 2 is set to arrive in November 2024.
